Mardy Fish and Juan Martin del Potro sent Ross Hutchins and Stephen Huss out of the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open with a 6-7(9) 6-2 10-4 victory.
The defeat brings to an end the Brit-Aussie duo’s best performance at a Masters 1000 event, in which they beat No.4 seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles in the second round.
Del Potro and Fish now face No.2 seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic in the semi-finals.
