Hutchins and Stubbs bow out
The French Open is over for Rosco this year…
Ross Hutchins’ 2009 French Open is over after he was knocked out of the mixed doubles in the first round.
The British doubles No.1, partnered by Australian Rennae Stubbs, lost 6-2 6-2 to No.3 seeds Lisa Raymond and Marcin Matkowski.
Hutchins, with regular partner Stephen Huss, lost in the men’s doubles on Wednesday night, 6-4 6-2 to Fernando Gonzalez and Jose Acasuso.
The pair will now turn their attention to the grass-court season, with entry to next week’s AEGON International in Nottingham, UK a possibility.
