Armitraj and Qureshi first up for H&H
No.16 seeds Rosco and Hussy start Wimbledon bid against Indian-Pakistani pair
Ross Hutchins and Stephen Huss will face qualifiers Prakash Amritraj and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi in the first round of the Championships, Wimbledon.
The Indian-Pakistani pair saw off top Asian pair the Ratiwatana brothers of Thailand in the final qualifying round, after earlier beating Chris Guccione and Frank Moser.
No.16 seeds Hutchins and Huss are in the top half of the 64-team draw, along with top seeds Bob and Mike Bryan, four all-British pairs, and No.4 seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles, who the Anglo-Aussie pair could meet in the third round.
Hutchins, the British doubles No.1 and the only British player to be seeded in the doubles competition, and Huss upset the Indian-Bahamian pair at last year’s French Open before repeating the trick at this year’s Madrid Masters 1000 Series.
Bhupathi and Knowles won their most recent meeting at the AEGON International in Eastbourne.
