Hutchins-Huss bow out
First round defeat in Indy…
Ross Hutchins and Australian partner Stephen Huss suffered a narrow defeat at the Indianapolis Tennis Championships on Wednesday.
The British-Aussie pair made a strong start against all-American team Robby Ginepri and John Isner before going down 3-6, 6-3, 10-1 in the first round of the ATP World Tour 250 event.
Hutchins and Huss, who were seeded two at the Indiana outdoor hard court event, had been expecting to play another US team, Kevin Kim and Bobby Reynolds.
They were replaced at the last minute by alternates Ginepri and Isner.
The duo will now begin preparations for their next event, the LA Open, which begins on July 27.
They then move on to Washington DC for the Legg Mason Classic, before playing the Rogers Cup, the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters and the Pilot Pen Championships.
Their final stop on the American hard court swing is at Flushing Meadows in late August for the final Grand Slam of the year, the US Open.
