Hutchins and Huss bow out
Polish pair pip H&H in Washington…
Marcin Matkowski and Mariusz Fyrstenberg are through to the semi-finals of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic after edging past Ross Hutchins and Stephen Huss 6-4 7-5.
The Polish pair, making their debut in Washington, were in control throughout the first set as the Anglo-Aussie duo failed to make an impact on return. A solitary break was all they needed to seal the first set.
Some shaky serving in the second set from Hutchins and Huss, including four double faults, again put the Poles in the driving seat with their second break of the match.
But Hutchins and Huss broke back to keep themselves in contention, only to see their hard work undone at the sharp end of the set when the Poles secured a second break.
