Hutchins and Huss split
Rosco to play out season with Kerr and Tecau…
Ross Hutchins and Stephen Huss have called time on their 18-month partnership following a disappointing run of results.
The British No.1, playing at the Thailand Open in Bangkok this week, admitted that it was “time for a change” after the duo posted just one win together since May.
“Hussy and I have recently split as a partnership due to results as we have had some tough losses,” Hutchins said recently.
British No.1 Hutchins and Huss, the 2005 Wimbledon doubles champion, enjoyed a purple patch in late 2008 shortly after they began playing together with victory in Beijing and final appearances in Moscow and Lyon.
Hutchins reached a career-high ranking of No.30 in the world in July while working with the Australian, but since reaching the quarter-finals of the Mutua Madrilena Masters 1000 in May the pair have registered one win together.
“We played for 18 months together and I loved playing with him,” continued Hutchins, “but it was time for a change.”
Hutchins will complete the season partnering Australia’s Jordan Kerr and Romanian Horia Tecau, who he will team up with in Thailand.
