Korolev-Golubev edge tight encounter in Moscow…

Ross Hutchins and Horia Tecau fell to a tight defeat in the first round of the Kremlin Cup doubles to Andrey Golubev and Evgeny Korolev.

Despite a spirited fightback in the second set from the British and Romanian No.1s, seeded fourth in Moscow, the Russian-Kazakhstani duo nicked a 7-6(4) 2-6 10-8 victory.

Golubev and Korolev await either James Cerretani and Victor Hanescu or Rohan Bopanna and Janko Tipsarevic in the next round.

Hutchins and Tecau now turn their attention to the Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon next week.
