Hutchins and Kerr face No.3 seeds in first round

Ross Hutchins and Jordan Kerr return to action together at the Valencia Open this week, with a strong field turning out for the penultimate week of the regular season.

Along with five all-Spanish teams playing at the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, Polish duo Marcin Matkowski and Mariusz Fyrstenberg top the billing, with Lukas Kubot and Olivier Marach the No.2 seeds.

The Anglo-Aussie duo, who reached the final of the Japan Open last month, have been drawn against No.3 seeds Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertinak in the first round.

Also among the field are American pair Eric Butorac and Rajeev Ram, Julian Knowle and Martin Damm and Jeff Coetzee and Stehpen Huss, who could be waiting in the second round.
