Partners Isner and Querrey to face off in singles decider…

Ross Hutchins and Jordan Kerr are through to the final of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships after beating American wildcards Scott Lipsky and David Martin 7-6(6) 7-6(4) in the semis.

The Anglo-Aussie duo will face Sam Querrey and John Isner in their second final of the season after reaching the title match at the Medibank International in Sydney.

Hutchins and Kerr dominated a tight contest in which their opponents saved eight of ten break points – seven in the second set – but prevailed in the two tie-breaks as both teams shared a break apiece in each set.

Both teams will be looking for their first title together. Hutchins and Kerr have twice reached Tour finals playing alongside one another, at the Japan Open in 2009 and ahead of this year’s Australian Open in Sydney.

Davis Cup teammates Querrey and Isner – both of whom have won doubles titles with Mardy Fish in their careers, Querrey last week in San Jose – are playing their first final together.

In an added twist, Querrey and Isner will face off before teaming up in the final. The towering Americans will play one another in the event’s singles final before the doubles.
