Hutchins and Murray take opener but fall in round two…

Ross Hutchins and Andy Murray are out of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters doubles after a 6-7(4) 6-2 10-2 defeat at the hands of Bob and Mike Bryan.

The British wildcards stunned No.1 doubles duo by taking the first set in a tiebreak, but were unable to respond when the American twins upped their game in the second set before racing away with the match tiebreak.

Hutchins lost out in a tight encounter to the Bryans alongside regular partner Jordan Kerr in Houston last week, which the Americans won to notch up their 59th tour title.

Hutchins expects to play Barcelona, Rome, Belgrade and Madrid before heading to Paris for Roland Garros next month.
