Senior Career
Autumn 2002: Reached third round of the ATP Futures event in Jersey (my third main-draw futures appearance of the year) and gained the first ATP points of my career.
September 2003: After spending seven months rehabilitating from injury, reached the quarter-finals of ATP Futures events in both Wrexham and Cumberland, as well as winning a Hastings Direct event in Frinton.
2004: following three years playing in ATP Futures and Challengers in both the UK and abroad, I broke into the top 500 of the ATP singles ranks.
2007: after a number of injuries and health problems, I was diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis – a dehydration condition that causes a dangerous loss fluids. After this, I decided to concentrate on doubles.
But in 2009 I entered the Joburg ATP Tour 500 singles draw while I was there to play doubles – and qualified, gaining 12 ATP points – so I’m back in the singles rankings!
